Black Bean Queso Dip At Home Recipe

Makes 6-8 Servings

INGREDIENTS
• 2 Tbsp butter
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/8 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup milk
• 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 15-ounce can black beans, drained
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 tsp cumin
• 1 tsp cilantro
• Pinch of salt

 

1) Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2) Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes.
3) Whisk in flour until smooth. Continue cooking mixture, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute.
4) Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Add cheese, stirring constantly over low heat until cheese melts.
5) Remove from heat and let cool.
6) In a medium-size bowl, mash black beans
7) Stir in sour cream, cumin, cilantro, and salt.
8) Stir in cooled queso sauce.
9) Cover and chill before serving.
10) Taste and, if needed, add more salt to your liking
